Rick Silva is an artist who explores landscape via technology and time. His work has been exhibited at the Whitney Museum, the Centre Pompidou, and the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. He has been featured in Artforum, Wired, and Rhizome’s Net Art Anthology. Silva was born in Brazil, received his MFA from the University of Colorado Boulder, and lives in Eugene, Oregon, where he is a professor at the University of Oregon. He's hiked to the top of the same small mountain near his home over 700 times.
